Before Tina Revilla Hosted PCSO's Lotto Draw...

thisisoldschooladvertising_alpine full cream milk

...she was the endorser for Alpine! (Along with her son, actually.)

And long before ALPINE Full Cream Evaporated Milk went into the conscious realm of Filipino minds through Tina Revilla ads, 80s and 90s children have already been singing this all-too-familiar song:

Sa bundok, mayroong dalawang pasas
Sa pasas, mayroong dalawang butas
Sa butas, mayroong lumalabas
Ano 'yon?!
Instant Alpine, puking malaki
Dalawa susoooooooooooo

That didn't come from me okay? But I used to chant it with my fellow kababatas back then, and it always earned me a slap in the butt from my Mom. :-D

Gee Your Print Ad Is So Colourful!

Yes, the ad is pretty colourful. And nice use of font as well. What font is this, anyway? Arial Round? Haha. Napakahaba ng name ng product na ito; malamang kahit ayaw nila, pinarangalan na ito ng Guinness Book of World Records bilang "Longest, In-Your-Face Brand Name".

Scanned and saved as it is.
Ang ad na ito ay mistulang pasimuno ng Web 2.0 designs. Gradient na lang, kumpleto na eh.

Sa bahay namin dati madaming malalaking bote--exactly this opaque kind--of Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo. In my mom's words: It gives volume to limp hair and it's not that expensive. So, uso sa bahay ang magsabi ng "paabot po ng Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo, please." Kung nagmamadali dahil late na, usually "paabot po ng Gee, please."na lang.

And of course, my perennial blog question: is this product still available in the market?
